Yeah agreed. MySQL is trying to become a powerhouse, but PostgreSQL is more and more becoming the next Oracle.

This is one GREAT and sane comparison, I wonder why there aren’t any comments as this is the best one I found so far.

What did I miss was the approximate price a company have to pay for MySql AB licences in average. There aren’t many applications released with source code under GPL so the cost pays significant role in choosing a database.
