Named code named Intrepid Ibex, Ubuntu's team continues the tradition of integrating the best of open source technology of high quality and easy to use.
Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop Edition delivers the features you need for a mobile digital life, including 3G wireless technology, sessions that allows users to temporarily share resources without compromising security.
Ubuntu 8.10 Server consolidates its support for virtualization with an integrated Virtual Machine builder, and brings a Java environment and support to encrypt the user directories.
The Ubuntu 8.10 includes familita its variants, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, UbuntuStudio, and Mythbuntu. Mythbuntu, also reach beta status today.

- Xorg 7.4: brings improved support for automatic configuration of input devices like keyboards and mice.
