Canonical says that Ubuntu has 8 million users
In the middle of last year during the conference Ubuntu founder of Live Canonical / Ubuntu Mark Shuttleworth think the operating system installed base of 6 million to 12 million. But apparently Canonical has managed to reduce this number.
According to a report of the marketing department of the area of training of Canonical has revealed that:
Ubuntu is used by more than 8 million people around the world
So far so good, but as they did to measure the installed base of Ubuntu, because a copy of the system can be installed on n computers and equipment. And all this we add all the equipment that is being sold with Ubuntu Linux pre-installed.
Although it is said that the number of computers running Windows for 2012 will reach the figure of 1 billion, the horizon is improving in the market for Linux.
