Cracking a wireless network using WEP Crack AIR
Finally, I share the simple steps to crack a wireless WEP key using free software called air crack. The method of decryption is done by listening or doing the sniffing of the network, then capture the encrypted packets, and then run the software that decrypts the data discovered or captured. What is WEP? WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is fairly easy to decipher, since it uses a single key to encrypt all traffic. Basically, the communication between two nodes in a wireless network is based on MAC address. In the model, each host only receive packets destined for the MAC address of its interface. This communication is kept private thanks to the WEP encryption key. However, if a client establishes network card mode ... Read the full article »
WEP key generator
How many times have passed when you are installing a new Access Point and you need to configure and set up passwords can be very tedious to find a proper password for the team. WEP passwords generated by the site offer support for phrases which generate passwords in ASCII and HEX. Of course I'm not saying that use the insecure WEP to protect your AP and access to your network, but just as well as they do in the industry, I will share a place where we can automatically generate the keys 64, 128, 156 and 256 bits. Automatic key generator http://www.andrewscompanies.com/tools/wep.asp If they want is to break the WEP key, see this article. ... Read the full article »

How to install Broadcom wireless card in Ubuntu 9.10
I have a couple of machines Hp Mini 1000 and Compaq 515, the first I have installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix (UNR) and Ubuntu 9.10 in the other. Both laptops are equipped with the Broadcom wireless card, which in this version of Ubuntu are not installed. Even I have a third machine that was installed with Ubuntu 8.10 and then upgraded to 9.04, and this had no problems detecting the card itself: ~ $ lspci | grep Network 6:00 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b / g (rev 01) Install the broadcom driver in Ubuntu, however, apparently the driver for the wireless network interface is detected correctly, but the modules are not loaded or not available in the Ubuntu generic kernel. We install the fonts on the card to be compiled ... Read full article »

Anti Wifi Paint
Who would say, after so many security protocols and encryption for wireless connections, there is now the paint from the wifi signal. The idea behind the painting anti wifi not so bad, and you can make one yourself. It's as easy as mixing aluminum and iron oxide in the paint and apply it on the walls of the room we want to block. The resonance of metal particles prevent the passage of the frequencies of radio waves, so the signals are blocked by the thin layer of pigment. In this way, none will come out of your house sign, as well as no signal inside. Developed by the University of Tokyo, the painting is said to be the first that can block the high frequencies of the spectrum where the Wi-Fi and other communications ... Read the full article »
