The numerical portion of DDR memory represent the MB / s of RAM. In this way PC2700 operates at 2.7 GB / s (2700 MB / s) and so consecutively. However, if banks are required to upgrade memory or add more memory a computer, the names of the ram memory relies on its speed: 

  PC2100: 266MHz 
  PC2700: 333Mhz 
  PC3200: 400Mhz 
  PC3500: 433Mhz 
  PC3700: 466Mhz 
  PC4000: 500Mhz 
  PC4200: 533Mhz

Not all these memories ADRs are officially recognized by the standards committees, as anything more than DDR400 with velocidaddes not officially supported by the chipsets.

Most high-speed RAM as 433Mhz, PC3500 and higher go beyond the standard specifications, and are very functional for overclocking on the 200Mhz FSB.
