After many rumors and finally blablabla Canonical COO Jane Silber confirms "We have worked with Dell to make Ubuntu is fully supported and certified on Dell hardware, Ubuntu has the full support of Dell."

Ubuntu 7.04 will be released in the e-series Essential Dimension desktop, an XPS desktop and an e-series Inspiron laptop late May. Ubuntu Feisty Fawn on Dell servers

This news is only a preamble, I think soon we will see Dell servers (and perhaps competition) with full support for Ubuntu Festy Fawn and therefore Debian and other distros. Only time will tell if this will be a reality, but the thought have Debian on my PC and the servers would be fully supported as a dream come true.
