Ubuntu Gutsy without 3D acceleration with nvidia
I have a PC with a video card nvidia 7300 in which I have upgraded from Ubuntu 7.04 to Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy. After the update of the operating system and then battling a pair of solving the problem WiFi cap with me that I do not have the effect of compiz-fusion as 3D acceleration stopped working.
Apparently Ubuntu is installed when you upgrade the service xserver-XGL, and this collapse 3D acceleration in nvidia, settled by typing;
toshi: ~ $ sudo aptitude purge xserver-xgl Popularity: 11% [?]

Which nvidia card you got?
Well that's not important, what is important is that you got to go to the nVidia site and download drivers for Linux, it is strange that when you install Ubuntu already installed nvidia drivers.
