URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration

Al desarrollar una simple aplicacion en Php me tope con el problema que la consulta debia tener acceso a unas funciones dentro de un archivo de php en un servidor remoto.

Al tratar de usar la sentencia include() dentro de mi codigo para incluir via web un archivo de php con las funciones que necesito. Esto no fue posible ya que me desplego este error:

Como activar URL file-access en php

Dentro del archivo de configuracion php.ini, encontraran una linea como esta, cambian la opcion del allow_url_include de Off a On.

archivo: /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini 
; Whether to allow include/require to open URLs (like http:// or ftp://) as files.
allow_url_include = On

Solo tenemos que editar el archivo php.ini (el path varia dependiendo de la distro de Linux), y reiniciar el servidor apache.

toshian:/etc# vim php5/apache2/php.ini
toshian:/etc# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
