VMWare – Failed to lock the file – Cannot open the disk vmdlk

Debido a que le cambie la red a la direccion IP del host Linux donde tengo un VMWare con Windows Server 2003 tuve que reiniciar el sistema Linux. Luego del arranque vmware me despliega un error como el siguiente:

000001.vmdk’ or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. Reason: Failed to lock the file.

Al parecer el disco virtual de mi sistema Win2003 hospedado esta bloqueado. Esto se soluciona simplemente con borrar o mover los archivos que tengal al final del nombre writelock

root[]# mv *WRITELOCK temp/

Si por alguna razon no queremos borrarlos, simplemente creamos un nuevo directorio donde lo movemos y volvemos a ejecutar la maquina virtual y listo!
